TYPOGRAPHY CSS PAPER

=========================

WHILE THE OFFICIAL TERMINATION DATE FOR SUMMER SCHOOL

IS FRIDAY THE 27TH OF JULY…

I WILL BE EXCEPTING WORK FROM THIS ASSIGNMENT

WITHOUT PENALTY..

 UNTIL SUNDAY THE 29TH OF JULY!!

===========================================

This CSS paper will be worth 8 POINTS in the homework section of your grade!!

Because of our limited time table to the end of the semester we will be substituting a paper instead of the pop up page workshop!!

===========================================

That paper should be 2 pages in length – double spaced, arial font, 12 point size. If you run out of ideas to discuss in your paper… revert to your knowledge and create connections from previous research assignments and projects…  As usual, your opinion is encouraged… but I want to see that opinion backed up by research…

The first 2/3 of your paper should be something like this:

For example..

“I believe creating a clear hierarchy is important.  Based on the article written by Thursday Bramm, entitled “10 Web Typography Rules Every Designer Should Know”, I agree that the size, type face, and location truly help guide the viewer of the website in the direction of the information that is most important.

I found a glaring misuse of this principle in my Worst Web Site in the World research.  The site “http://www.rodcdavis.com/” is a confusing rabbit hole of information and disorientates the user on where the creator of the website would like you to navigate.  I believe the creator of the website executes his goal of presenting himself at the top of the page, but I become confused where my next investigation on the site should begin.”

The last 1/3 of your paper should be dedicated to discussing

— Your choice for the CSS Web Site?

— Why you chose it?

— What design principles you utilized

 — THE MORE INDEPTH DETAILS ( regarding your choices, design styles, etc.. etc… ) YOU INCLUDE THE BETTER!!

— What choices you made relative to the subject you decided to focus on?

— What difficulties did you have?

— How you enjoyed this project and the course as a whole?

OK … NOW LETS DISCUSS THE CSS PROJECT…   Worth 17 Project Points!!
